We are looking for the best candidates for the position of Demand & Supply Planning Manager for a lubricant company industry based in Barcelona.
Purpose of job:
- End to end supply chain planning responsibilities.
- Lead and manage Demand & Supply Planning team to ensure maximum Delivery Performance towards customers and an adequate level of Inventories in Raw Materials, Finished Goods & Packaging Materials.
- Portfolio Management responsibilities – coordination phase-in/phase-out processes.
- Inventory Management
- Monitoring and control and definition of replenishment methodologies according to ABC and Service Class category of each material.
- Close coordination with Purchasing to ensure Raw Material availability to fulfil Production Plan.
- Coordination of the Planning team and alignment with Sales to ensure maximum delivery performance to customers.
- Create an atmosphere such that KLI is “a great place to work at and to work with”.
- Foster & drive continuous improvement towards excellence on inventory management and planning processes.
Functions:
- Full compliance Safety and Environmental protection standards and local regulations.
- Overall responsibility and coordination of Inventory Management and Demand & Supply Planning processes and employees to fulfil customers demand according to production capabilities and service level agreements, balancing inventory targets and productivity/costs, making proper and efficient use of company assets. S&OP process coordination.
- Definition and follow-up of specific objectives for the Demand & Supply Planning team aligned with Global EPN-Operations KLI Strategies
- Set-up and monitoring of Annual Production and Inventory Plan, including planning of resources.
- Ensure achievement of Inventory Management and Delivery Performance KPI targets: reporting, analysis of deviations/trends and implementation of derived corrective/preventive action plans
- Coordination of planning activities with other KLI departments, especially Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Production, Logistics and Quality Control.
- Identification, selection, prioritization and planning of Demand & Supply Planning projects, training and investments. Foster continuous improvement.
- Lead and support actively Lean-OPEX (Operational Excellence) projects and initiatives. Local and international.
- Recruitment, training and development of new staff.
- Ensure on-time update of Demand & Supply Planning processes documentation, registers and standards.
- Coordination with global functions for Planning topics: product relocations, customer forecasts, phase in/phase out of products, FMEA’s, standards, etc.
- Benchmark and sharing of best practices within EPN and Global Networks
- Coordination, regular communication, support and empowerment of Demand & Supply Planning team.
- Support the identification and development of potentials in coordination with Supply Chain Director and HR
- Direct reporting to Supply Chain Director KLI and collaboration with EPN Coordinator
Required qualifications:
- Business Administration / Engineering / Supply Chain Management degree required.
- APICS\CPIM certifications or equivalent preferred
- Lean-Six Sigma Green / Black Belt Education is desired.
- SAP Key User required (SD, MM, PP)
- Excel advanced user / Power BI power user.
- Knowledge of Inventory Optimization / Forecasting tools.
- Language: High level of English, Spanish mandatory. German welcome.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Operations, Inventory Management,
- Demand Planning, Supply Planning and/or Forecasting required.
- Project Leader of Technical / Strategic projects within Supply Chain area using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools is desired.
